So it indicates that the charging circuitry in Tablets generally is carried out from the supplied charger and this type of circuitry is not (generally) present in Hubs. so smartphones receive power and then use their own circuitry to charge. My hunch is that might be a general indicator that while smartphones tend to include charging circuits in the phone, Tablets generally, potentially do not.

Thanks, in that case I still don't know what to buy it mentions windows in the specs just above the part you read. I think all NI interfaces (Maschine included) use the same underlying technology, so hopefully someone reading this thread can shed some light, thanks! If anyone here has used an NI audio interface with a USB 3.0 hub and got it all working I'd be very interested.
But, on the other hand, RME interfaces will work fine with any hub, so I'm not sure buying a selection of USB 3.0 hubs is necessarily going to fix my problems. Some people on this thread seem to have had luck with certain hubs, so I guess there are good and bad chips, just like the TI Firewire chip was what people recommended for audio. In fact, many hubs use the same chip under the hood. RME Babyface Pro/Fireface UFX: Both of these interfaces work fine in all cases.Īpparently there are not that many USB hub chips on the market, it's not like Belkin make their own chips. Problem happens on both Win 7 and Win 10. So basically, any combination involving a USB 3.0 hub won't work with these NI audio interfaces. Also, if I daisy-chain a mix of 2.0 and 3.0 hubs, it doesn't work either, no matter the order.

Connected through a USB 3.0 hub the hub keeps resetting and whenever any software attempts to use the audio interface. Connected though a USB 2.0 hub these interfaces work without problems. NI Kore 1/Audio Kontrol 1/Traktor Audio 2 mk1 and a friend's Traktor S4/DJ Audio 4/DJ Audio 8 (): Works fine when connected directly to any kind of USB port. Anyway, so I've tested with 4 different USB2.0 hubs and 3 different USB3.0 hubs, on 3 computers, one running 64-bit Win 7 and two running 64-bit Win 10, results as follows: Works fine through a USB 2.0 hub, but then USB hard drive read/write times are too slow, which is a pain as I keep my tracks on USB media for when I DJ on CDJs. Problem is, I can't get my small 'n' lovely NI Traktor Audio 2 interface to work through a USB 3.0 hub.

I want to use my Surface Pro 4 in my DJ rig and unfortunately it only has one port, so a hub needs to be used. Plugable 7-Port USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Hub with UK AC 25W Power Adapter: .uk: Computers & Accessories Just re-read the thread so going to check out Ive got time to send it back so ideally, I need a hub to support all 3 devices comfortably (virus/mascine/elektron ak). Have contacted their support, so far no real response apart from the above (reintall/ports/leads). Tested different ports/cables and usb ports. Plug in and the blue led light shows up for around a split second and straight off again.

Have attempted a full uninstall and reinstall, however the hub will not register it. If anyone has one of these see if you can get it to recognise an Access Virus TI. Works fine with all dongles Ive tried, have NI Maschine MK3 and Elektron Analog Keys plugged into it all fine and running really well (not performed DPC latency test as yet). Great, I'll test with my Elektron machines (A4/RYTM) as well.Received the UH720 hub, some good and some bad results.
